For over 70 years, Cox Construction has been committed to the health, safety and well-being of our employees, associates and the public. In fulfilling this commitment, providing a safe, harassment and violence-free work environment is a priority.

The Internal Responsibility System gives all employees the responsibility for their own safety and that of their co-workers. Senior Management, Supervisors and Workers, supported by our Joint Health and Safety Committee work together to mitigate the risk of injury to our employees by identifying, eliminating and controlling hazards in the workplace and on the job-site.

All employees are expected to comply with the applicable legislative requirements and Cox Construction’s safe work procedures and practices.

Our Health and Safety Policy is the foundation of our overall Health & Safety Program that has been developed to create and maintain a healthy and safe work environment. This program is monitored, reviewed and updated regularly to ensure compliance with legislation and best practices pertaining to occupational health and safety.

Our current milestone of nearly 1,000,000 man hours worked without a lost time injury has only strengthened our resolve to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. We believe that one workplace injury is one too many.
